As chemistry subject is optional for engineering students , they can also opt for Biology or Biotech as a subject as per AICTE AND NTA WEBSITE. I wanted to know that Will there be an exam of Biology In jee exam for students who has not taken chemistry

Radeef, AICTE has passed a resolution that Chemistry is not yet a mandatory subject for admission to B.Tech and B.E courses. Students can pick uo any subject among Biology or Biotechnology or Computer Science or IT or Inoformatics Practise or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies as one of the subjects. Now regarding the question paper, it is npt quite clear as might happen. Because there might be students who still will have Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology as one of the subjects. So what might happen is the exam might have Physics and Mathematics sections and then an optional subject that you might choose. So according to your choice of subject, your paper will be given to you.

Hello,
JEE main consists of questions on Physics, Chemistry and Maths.Candidates irrespective of their optional subject need to give the same paper.There will not be any questions on Biology.There will be 25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

But what if student have dropped chemistry and taken biology as an optional subject ?

what I meant was you can have chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/technical or vocational subjects as one of the optional subject.Chemistry isn't a mandatory subject which you must study in 10+2.You can study any of the optional subject but must have maths and physics as mandatory subject.There isn't any news about the JEE main exam pattern.
