bsc nursing index mark how to calaculate
Hello Dear Student,
The index mark is generally calculated using the marks obtained in the relevant subjects along with any applicable bonus marks.
-
Index Mark = Subject Score + Bonus Marks
-
The subject score is usually based on the combined marks obtained in the required subjects.
-
If your board awards marks out of a different total, the marks may first be standardized.
Standardization Formula:
Standardized Mark = (Marks Obtained ÷ Maximum Marks) × 100
For example, if you scored 110 out of 120 in a subject, the standardized mark would be:
(110 ÷ 120) × 100 = 91.67
After standardizing the required subjects, the scores are added together and any eligible bonus marks are included to arrive at the final index mark.
