Hi Saibal, As per your query about the hysterectomy procedure can be performed by MBBS doctor or not... It is advised that whenever possible and if the specialist doctors are available it should be done by them not only MBBS doctor... Untill and unless there is a life threatening situation and no other option but to remove.... Hysterectomy should be ideally performed by a Obstetrician and Gynecologist... Can also be performed by General surgeon...

No, only OBGYN or a gynecologist specialist can perform a hysterectomy.
