can anyone explain IELTS ? what kind of course is this ?

Let me give you the idea about IELTS in very basic language.

Suppose you want to migrate to Australia for your higher studies or any kind of employment and there you want to join an university, now that university will inquire the knowledge of English language so for they do not take personal test, they rely on a test known as IELTS.

So before migrating, you have to appear for IELTS and pass in this test to prove that you can understand, write and listen the english language.

• Reading

• Speaking

See IELTS is not any kind of course instead it an English Proficiency Test. IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System conducted by British Council, IDP Education, Cambridge Assessment English. This exam is given by those candidates who have their first language other than English and they are seeking to either study or work in Abroad. As it is an International level English Proficiency Test so it proves that you are proficient in English language even if you don't have it as first language.

There are two types of IELTS examinations :

** IELTS Academic test which is mostly given by the candidates seeking admission to a foreign college or university.

** IELTS General test which is mostly given by the candidates seeking foreign employment.

IELTS scores are accepted by almost all countries and the scores are valid for up to 2 years after the date of the exam.
