Can I apply for lectureship without doing PhD?
Hi, once you are done with masters and qualified UGC Net yes you can apply for the Lectureship in the Universities but it is also essential to have a PhD degree. You can enrol yourself in PhD programme and side by side continue with the teaching in the University. For admission in PhD programme, you would be requiring to prepare a strong research proposal on the topic you want to research. You can apply before enrolling PhD programme but it will be better if enrol yourself while you are teaching or applying for the lecturership positions. Lectureship and Research is one of the best career options for the aspirants from the Science, Arts, Humanities, Commerce as well as other fields. Mainly to apply for the Lectureship and Professorship it is the requirement of doing Ph.D. program from the recognized University and Organization.

Eligibility for Lectureship by UGC NET –
You must complete the masters or Post graduation in the subject with 55% marks (50% marks for the Reserved cat. candidates)
There is no age limit for the Exam.
The Exam is conducted in two phases – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
