Hello,

I hope you are doing good,

This will totally depend on your college, and also the performance of your peers.

Usually the University provides you a minimum threshold of 8.5 CGPA after your first year in order to switch your branch to CSE.

But, most of the times in many colleges you will find that it is more than 8.5.

And, if you want to change your department to CSE I will recommend you to keep your CGPA more than 9 or near 9.5 safe side.
