can i change my departmental branch from Msc to a btech programme in NITR?

Earlier branch changes in NITR occured differently where dual dgree or integrated M.Sc students were not allowed to change to  B.tech streams.

Basically like if you are a student of B.tech you can change to other branches of B.tech,if you are from dual degree you can change to other dual degree courses similarly if you are student of integrated M.Sc you can change to other M.Sc courses.

However this year this system was amended and now you change to any branch you want to irrespective of which stream you are.

So, in conclusion you can change from M.Sc to B.Tech stream based on the CGPA you secured on your first year.
