can i do port management after 12th
Applicants who are genuinely interested in holding a degree in Port and Shipping Management must abide by the following criteria mentioned below -
-
Candidates must have completed their graduation in any field or discipline from a recognized university.
-
Candidates must have secured at least fifty-five per cent marks as an aggregate in their graduation period.
-
Candidates must pass any of the entrance exams mentioned above by fitting into the eligibility criteria of each exam. The eligibility criteria for the aforementioned entrance exams are as follows -
CAT - Students who have completed their three or four-year-long under-graduation in any discipline. Students of CA or CS can also apply. There is a negligible constraint on the number of attempts that can be taken by an applicant to clear this exam; thereby, it is safe to say that there is no age limit. The minimum aggregate percentage for applicants varies from one category of people to another category of people (General/SC/ST/OBC).
MAT - Students must have completed their graduation or are on the verge of giving their final semester exam in any possible discipline. It is okay if students don’t have any kind of work-ethic experience. There is no restriction on two things - age and the number of attempts required to pass the exam. Students who are pursuing or have completed degrees in CA and CS are eligible too.
XAT - Students must hold an under-graduation degree in any probable stream or are about to complete it, that is, are in their final year of the degree. Along with Indian candidates, there are NRI applications submitted by students from abroad that completely rely on their score in an exam called GMAT. However, this same condition doesn’t apply to students appearing for XAT in Dubai and Kathmandu. Finally, there is no age bar for applications.
ATMA - The eligibility criteria is the same as the ones mentioned for the above three entrance exams. The only difference is that ATMA required the graduate student to have acquired a minimum of fifty per cent marks as an aggregate.
IMU CET - There is a strict age restriction for the exam, that is, a minimum age bar of seventeen and a maximum age bar of twenty-five. Those who are applying for a degree in the maritime course must have procured a medical fitness certificate which has to be signed by doctors who are certified or approved by the Director-General of Shipping.
