Hello Shrijal,
Class 10th and 12th standard marks help in calculating the AR score for IIM admission.
First of all, you need at least 50% in your bachelors to be eligible for applying.
Anyway, candidates must have a minimum of AR score (according to their category, obviously (its India)).
General - 15.5
NC-OBC - 11
SC - 8.5
ST - 8.5
DA - 8.5
For computation of AR score of an applicant rating scores, 'A' and 'B' and 'C' will be computed based on her/his percentage of marks obtained in 10th standard, 12th standard, and bachelor's degree examinations respectively.
A grade institutes consider your 10th and 12th marks and include these marks in their selection criteria, which simply means if hypothetically, Candidate A and B score 99 percentile in CAT, And candidate A has scored higher marks in school than B did, there are high chances that candidate A will get an edge over B.
Obviously, there are other factors like Graduation marks, work experience but the 10th and 12th are important to some extent.
Good luck!
Hey,
IIM ahemdabad is the best B- school in India. The admission in this college is quite difficult as there is a lot of competition. You need to get atleast 99 percentile in CAT exam to get into this college. This is also not enough. You need to clear the WAT( written ability test) and the interview round as well.
All the best
