Karnataka Common Entrance Test or KCET is conducted for admissions into the engineering colleges of the state of Karnataka. It is held

The subjects tested in KCET are:

1.) For B.E./B.Tech. Courses- Candidates will have to sit for Physics, Chemistry snd Mathematics papers.

2.) For B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology and Dairy Technology) Courses- Candidates will have to for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology papers.

Paper of each subject carries 60 marks. Duration of paper of each subject is 1 hour 20 minutes.

The KCET syllabus comprises of the PUC-I and PUC-II syllabi as laid down by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.

BIOLOGY: Max. Marks- 60                                                          Max. Time-1 hr. 20 mins.

PHYSICS: Max. Marks- 60                                                          Max. Time- 1 hr. 20 mins.

CHEMISTRY: Max. Marks- 60                                                         Max. Time- 1 hr 20 mins.

MATHEMATICS: Max. Marks-60                                                          Max. Time- 1 hr. 20 mins.
