can I get Nit in 2022 if my class 12 passing year in 2020

Yes, you can get admission in an NIT in the year 2022 provided you must have qualified in JEE Main 2022. A candidate appear for JEE Main for three consecutive years from the year of passing in the qualifying examination that is class 12 or its equivalent. As you have passed class 12th in the year 2020 you are eligible to appear for JEE Main 2020, JEE Main 2021 and JEE Main 2022. Your last attempt for JEE Main would be in the year 2022.

If I tell you about IITs / jee advanced then,

One is eligible for JEE advanced examination for a maximum of two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination.

Now, your 12th appearing year is 2020

So, being appearing for 12th board examination in 2020 ,

• you were eligible for JEE advanced 2020

• also eligible for JEE advanced 2021

So, you cannot get admission in IITs in 2022 as you are not eligible for JEE advanced 2022
