As per eligibility criteria for all IIT,

Students must have passed Class12th from Science stream with minimum 75% aggregate or should be amongst top20 percentile in board and should have appeared for JEE advanced.

Hence, Diploma students are out of the race.

Diploma students can go for privately engineering colleges for lateral entry feom second year engineering.
