Can one's Physical Education's marks replace that of Accountancy [low marks, not failed] as the 5th subject for the calculation of AISSCE %?
Dear Harshadeep ,
Thank you for bringing out questions to the world. And am very much glad to answer this one.
I feel you have some sort of confusion with this, yet you are aware of the 'Best of Four' subjects' formula of the University of Delhi.
Now the formula itself says 'Best of Four subjects', so you need to put only four subjects and not the fifth one. As you mentioned, your best four subjects would be English, Economics, Mathematics and Business Studies for Economics B.A. (Hons.), then why do you need to put Accountancy or even Physical Education. There is no point of adding the marks of fifth subject, as your merit will be calculated based on only the four subjects that you've mentioned.
I hope it's clear now as you are asking almost the same question for the second time. Please refer to the previous answer - https://www.careers360.com/question-are-du-cut-offs-based-on-four-subjects-or-five-subjects-of-the-respective-stream-of-cbse-board-for-example-to-apply-for-ba-hons-eco#qna-ans-form-128448
Feel free to counter question me, if you still have doubts.
The knowledge happens to be built when you get answers but for that you need questions. Keep questioning, it's a good habit.
Thank you.
So, viz., my BFS % is 98.7% but my Accountancy's marks is 60 (Theory + Practical), due to which the AISSCE % becomes worth worrying at. Although, I manage to get into DU.
And what's the funniest fact? My Physical Education's marks is 99. Let alone be the Compartment Exam as my marks is 60, hence I haven't failed. So, again, if it's not too much inexpedient n' doesn't get tautological; I do hereby ask, "IF PHYSICAL EDUCATION, IN THIS CASE, COULD BECOME MY FIFTH SUBJECT AND NOT ACCOUNTANCY (making it the 6th one)."
