Hello,
Qualifications for applying for food inspector are:

You must be between 18 and 25 years of age are eligible to apply for the post of Food Inspector.

If you have completed graduation in medicine or have a bachelors degree in agriculture, pharmacy, food technology and dairy technology.

Your selection will be based on performance in written test and interview.

Graduates in medicine with one year training in food inspection.

- Bachelors degree in science stream with chemistry as a compulsory.

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture , Public Health, Veterinary Science, dairy Technology,pharmacy ,Food Technology.

You must be in good physical health and able to perform the tasks given to them in the field.

must also be willing to work in meat-packing plants with potentially hazardous and unsanitary conditions.
Though BTech in civil engineering is not a preferred subject for a food inspector but you apply for upsc examination for IAS or any other civil service.
