The admission in Governement Law College, tirunelveli is based on merit in academics through counselling.CLAT is not required for admission in law course.The eligibility criteria for admission in 3 year LLB is that a candidate must have passed 3 year bachelor's degree in 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern recognized by Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University.For BA LLB a candidate must have passed 10+2 with 45% or above and 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST candidates.For LLM candidates must have passed LLB or BA LLB with 50% or more and 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST.

Yes CLAT is necessary to take admission in Government Law College, Tirunelveli.

To take admission in this college if you are applying for BA+LLB you need minimum 45% in 12th. If you are applying for LLB, you need to have Graduation with minimum 45%. If you are applying for LLM then you need L.L.B. with minimum 50%  marks.
