FOR AN SC CATEGORY STUDENT A MARKS OF 600 REQUIRED TO GET ADMISSION AS THE CLOSING RANK OF LAST RANK WAS APPROX 2800. THIS YEAR THE CUTOFF IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN THE SAME OR INCREASE MARGINALLY.

No one can predict the exact score needed to get into a particular institution. It depends on the level of difficulty of the question paper and how many students end up performing well.
However, institutions like MAMC, UCMS VMMC have always been in huge demand. That explains their high cut off.
Try scoring around 550, the more you score the better.

Last year, last SC candidate to get a seat in UCMS had a rank of 7039. So, going by previous year trends, try to score around 520 to 550 to get a seat there.
Again I would say to score more, as much as you can.
