Aspirants who had completed their master’s degree in the fields like Earth Science, Physical Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Science and in Life Science can appear in CSIR NET Exam.

Since Biotechnology is coming under Life science so, you can definitely appear in CSIR Exam.
