Dear Sir/ Madam What is the SX category in KVPY 2020 and what is its eligibility?

Hi Aspirant,

KVPY is a scholarship program funded by department of science and technology of government of India.

There are three streams, SA, SX, SB

Stream SX:

• Students enrolled in XII standard during the academic year 2020-21 and aspiring to join an undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S.) for the session 2021-22 provided.
• They have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the X Standard Board Examination.
• They must secure 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the XII standard Board Examination before taking up the fellowship, if awarded.

The fellowship will be awarded to selected candidates who qualify for the aptitude test with a minimum of KVPY cut off. However, these students are first enrolled in a B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. undergraduate course in basic sciences. M.Sc./M.S. Int.

Under the KVPY eligibility criteria for 2020, students may apply for any of the following trades: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics , Statistics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology , Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Bioinformatics, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology , Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Sciences, etc.
