describe the factors respensible for degeneration of water
Hi
As per your question the factors are the following:
(i) Increased population : Demand for water has been increased by the increased population. because
the number of humans increases, the consumption of water also increases.
(ii) Increasing industries : All industries need water. because the number of human population increase,
the amount of industries is additionally increased which definitely increases the consumption of water.
(iii) Lack of conservation techniques : Main source of water on earth and for the underground water is
rain. The water of the rain, if conserved can increase the water table . But this is often undue to lack of
water conservative techniques.
(iv) Agricultural activities : India may be a country which depends on agriculture. The land used for
cultivation has increased. So, the consumption of water for agriculture has increased. Irregular rainfall
has increased the consumption of groundwater. This has increased the depletion of groundwater.
Hope helpful.
Hello,
The water is important in our day to day life. The harmful substances causes the water to degrade and makes us unhealthy. What causes the water to be harmful?
often toxic substances , chemicals, bacteria which changes the water quality. The water is a liquid that is easy to dissolve any anything which may be good or harmful to the environment , which is also known as 'Universal solvent'.
Main factors for degradation are,
- Surface water such as river ,lakes etc. gets harmful to environment in faster way,the pollutant from the factories , industry produces harmful substance to the water. Half of the rivers and streams gets polluted and will be unfit for swimming , fishing and human use.
- Ground water gets polluted by dumping the waste underground .The pesticides and fertilizers waste dumping which will unsafe for human use.
- These unhealthy environment causes global warming, Acid rain, oil pollutants, sickness , ill .
- If water gets polluted from single source is known as point source pollution such as industry, sewage water, oil refinery. If the water gets polluted by diffuse sources is known an non-point source. Example, debris form land to water, pesticides wastes from agriculture and throwing pollutants by humans
Hi!
The factors that are responsible for degeneration of water are-
1.Increasing industries-. As we all know that even industries need water. So by each passing day number of humans population is increasing so the number of industries are increased due to which it definitely increases the consumption of water.
2.increase in the population- As there is hige population demand for the water also has been increased .
3.Agricultural activity- As we all need food we depend so agriculture plays an important role in it. We all depend upon agriculture. The land used for cultivation is increased due to which consumption of water for agriculture has increased.
4.lack of water conservation techniques
Hope this will help you... All the best!!
