Central Universities also have the same procedure for Counselling. Delhi University has Lady Hardinge, UCMS, MAMC colleges. In this 15% seats go to AIQ and 85% seats for Delhi domicile candidates. Candidates who studied 11th and 12th in Delhi are eligible for State Quota. AMU has reserved 50% seats for its internal students who studied in their college atleast for 3 years. Rest 50% is open for candidates who are eligible for NEET counselling. For BHU any candidate who is eligible for NEET counselling can apply.
To explain, a university is called "deemed", if it been granted the status, by act of a parliament, to be considered EQUIVALENT to any UGC funded university. This deemed university will conduct it's own examinations and would award degrees of its own. While, this is not the case with an autonomous colleges.
Central universitiesor unionuniversitiesin India are established by an Act of Parliament and are under the purview of the Department of Higher Education in the Union Human Resource Development Ministry.
