Astrophysics is one of the evolving opportunities in India after Mission Chadrayan. Companies like ISRO, DRDO hire candidates from Astrophysics background for their research projects. You can also join them as Technical Assistant. There are many astronomical institutions in India which will have opportunities to explore. The Indian Institute of Astronomers hire B.Sc Astrophysics Candidates as Research Assistants or Junior Research Scientist. But as mentioned that this is an evolving field, opportunities need to be explored. If you are still in your 12th and then thinking of joining B.Sc Astrophysics, by the time you complete your Graduation, opportunities will open up. But if you can do M.Sc or an Integrated M.Sc and Ph.D, you can also join as an Assistant Professor or even as a Research Fellow.
