Usually during the admission process in the colleges , when you sit in a counselling and if you get a seat then you have to got to that particular college to lock your seat.Now there the college takes  all the needy documents and certificates from you.

This will not cause any problem if they have your xerox certifictaes.The first thing is that any college is a reputed institution.They will never do the wrong thing with your documents. And also if you want to get seat in any other college then you can also take your xerox back from this college. Ask them to give these documents ,they will provide you.
