Does mhcet give admission in MBBS course
Hi Sangeeta,
Earlier, MHT CET is a state level entrance exam was held for MBBS and other related courses to medical and engineering fields. But now it is replaced by NEET for the admission in the medical fields. Now, you can take admission through MHT CET in Engineering and Technology, pharmacy and Agricultural fields.
All the best!!
Hey,
No, MHT CET (Maharashtra common entrance test) does not give admission into MBBS course. It is conducted for the admissions into engineering and pharmacy streams only.
Thank you!
MHCET or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is conducted by the DTE(Directorate of Technical Education), Maharashtra for admissions to first year Engineering and Technology programmes(BE/BTech) and Pharmacy programmes(BPharma/PharmaD) in the state.
Earlier the test scores were also used for admissions to Medical degree courses. The test is conducted in offline mode. After the Apex court of India hammered the deduction for NEET for Medical colleges; MhCET is not for medical colleges
