Does the Indian Air Force recognize a Class 12 Mathematics certificate obtained through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for the Flying Branch entry?"
Dear Student,
The Indian Air Force (IAF) generally recognises a Class 12 Mathematics marksheet or certificate obtained through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for Flying Branch entries like AFCAT, provided you meet all other criteria.
For the Flying Branch, you must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks individually in both Physics and Mathematics.
If you completed your regular Class 12 (such as PCB or Commerce) without Mathematics, you can clear Mathematics as an additional/single subject via NIOS.
When applying, you will need to submit your original Class 12 board marksheet (for Physics) alongside your NIOS Mathematics marksheet. Both must have the required passing percentages.
