Irrespective of your marks and rank.
But do remember that effective choice filling during coouncelling is very important to get into government medical colleges, so be decisive and careful during choice filling. Choice Filling is next very important decisions after your examination.

Dear Dinesh, there is no restriction on no.of colleges that you can lock during counselling and so you can. But if you have scored less marks, you should wisely choose the colleges according to their cut offs. Because if you select every college in random, you might miss out on the colleges in which you might have a chance given their lower cut offs. And during counselling, the preference is given in the order you have chosen the colleges. So first prioritize the colleges that have lower cut offs and are approximately closer to your score. That way you might actually get a seat.

Diring choice filling to can apply for the total nnumber of choices given in the registration form also,give first preferences to those colleges whose cutoff ranks are low as compared to other colleges.

Because it's all depends on your ranks and marks to get a seat in the colleges of your choices.So,filling preferences in this order helps a bit , but they don't assure your seat though.
