E and c course is it good in manipal

I am sharing some informations with you.

1)Is it relevant: Some of the electives offered by ECE are simply brilliant. People might argue that the way it is taught is not good and productive(they focus more on rote memorizing the S-Boxes,but then you do learn to implement and understand some amazing real world concepts).


2)Job Opportunities: Campus placements are sometimes fluke,sometimes sheer brilliance. If you are really interested in a particular field(signal processing,image processing,machine learning,networking,I can go on but then you get the gist) my suggestion would be to pursue that field and jobs will come later. Keep calm and set a particular goal about what you wanna do in life.Appear for fun.Also never lose patience.Remember one thing "Make the four years count"


3) Personal Development: The department is harsh. It will chastise you. Hell it might even prevent you from participating into various contests and fests,but then I have seen people do that and come out victorious.It will change the way you look at various real life problems.You will effortlessly and vaguely understand the science behind a particular application. Trust me it will be fun.


4) Is it worth it? : Absolutely. The skills are both diverse and diffused. You need to pick up a particular field and work on it. Go for internships. Work in various technical clubs.

My final answer is yes.
