SASTRA university is a premier engineering institute in Tanjore which is also equal in ranks to some of the NIT'S and IIT's. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses in multiple streams such as Engineering, Science, Education, Management and Arts. SASTRA has excellent faculty and other facilities. The admission to various courses is based on the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination. In case of B.Tech, a candidate is considered for his/her scores obtained in national level exam JEE Mains.The seat allocation process is merit based only. Stream-1:Intermediate marks (× 25%) + JEE MAINS score (× 75%) Stream-2:Only Intermediate marks 80% seats are for Stream-1 and remaining 20% seats for Stream-2. Students are then called for counseling sessions based on their ranks in the calculation of marks. Good Luck!
