It is assumed that you are talking about JEE Mains exam.

If yes, then yes with the score of 85 out of 300, you will get a percentile of atleast 75. You can expect a higher percentile than 75.

Colleges (NITs/IITs/IIITs/CFTIs) do not announce the cutoffs for Jan and April exam separately. Once all the exams (Main and Advanced) are concluded, then the admission process is started. During that process, the cutoffs are disclosed.
