Hello,
The qualifying cut off for JEE Main changes every year depending on various factors like total number of candidates appeared, total number of seats available, difficulty level of examination, previous year cut off etc. In 2020 the qualifying cut off for JEE Main for general category was 90.3765335. In 2021 the qualifying cut off is expected to be between 90-95 percentile. So you need to score minimum 90-95 percentile to qualify in JEE Main. To score such percentile you need to score minimum 100-130 marks or above.
The cut off for JEE Advanced in 2020 for general category candidate was as follows
- Total aggregate marks: 69
- Individual subject score: 6
It means that a candidate belonging to general category must score minimum 6 marks in individual subject and overall 69 marks to qualify. But this cut off will change in 2021 depending on the above mentioned factors. To have decent chances of getting seat in IITs you need to score minimum 45-50% of total score.
