give me a full description about career after bsc agri
Dear Aspirant
After completing BSc in agriculture you can either go for higher studies or apply for government jobs.
There are adequate opportunities in teaching, research, and transfer of technology areas in ICAR, State Agricultural Universities, State Departments of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and NGOs. After completing your masters you can also apply Phd degree if you want to do more research. Many Government and Private companies offer Agricultural Research Scientist (ARS) and Research Fellow posts for the students who complete their Ph.D.
If you want to do jobs in government sector you can apply for UPSC which conducts annual examination for positions in Indian Forest Services. Other competitive exams which can give include SSC IBPS AO, FCI, AIC, IIFCO, NSCI, etc. You can also apply for state government jobs after completing your graduation such as Agriculture Development Officer (ADO), Class-I (Gazetted), Agriculture Extension Officer, Range Forest Officer, District Horticulture Officer (D.H.O. Grade-I), Superintendent-Govt Garden, District Cane Officer, Assistant Conservator, etc .
Central government jobs like Agriculture Graduate Trainee in IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited, A Multistate Co-operative Society) are also a very good careers option.
Hope this helps
Hello,
BSc Agriculture graduates have plenty of government as well as private sector employment available. ... One can also go to MSc Agriculture and take on a teaching job after doing BSc Agriculture, or even go for a PhD and develop a career in agricultural science after doing BSc Agriculture. In both government and private sectors, an M.Sc degree after B.Sc Agriculture would give you better job opportunities. You may also go as an assistant professor or lecturer for teaching work. You can also obtain an M.Sc degree followed by a PhD if you have an interest in academic work.
