I’ll tell you..What is Problem with thi GMVSS..
Any state board is autonomous body of respective state. Mostly Every states have their Open Board.
Now Central Govt.(MHRD) have only 8 autonomous bodies for school education:
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
- Central Tibetan Schools Administration (CTSA)
- Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS)
- National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT)
- National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)
- National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)
- Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS)
- National Bal Bhavan
- ... Now the Problem with GMVSS is we can’t find it’s Central/state affilation source. Like, state board is created/affilated by state Govt.
- but in GMVSS we can not find any government who takes responsibility of it.

- Final Verdict: Should I get Admission in GMVSS?
- My answer is.. NIOS is best optin for Open schooling and otherwise state board or cbse is best for futur.

Yes GMVSS is a valid board which was est ablished by an Executive Order of State Government of Uttarakhand.
This board is affiliated to the Uttarakhand government,their syllabus has also been approved to be equivalent to Uttarakhand School Education Council, Ram Nagar, Nainital.
