Good day. Somebody kindly explain the process of NEET counselling for sponsored candidates in relation to 50% All India Qouta. Thank you

Hello

The NEET counseling is conducted for 15% AIQ seats and for 85% state quota seats.
The NEET counseling will be conducted for 15% of the total seats of all the government colleges (except for J&K state colleges)- also known as 15% AIQ- All India Quota seats, all the seats of Central and Deemed Universities, seats reserved for the wards of Insured Persons (IP quota) in Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical and seats available at AFMC. Whereas, for the remaining 85% state quota seats, the counseling will be conducted by the respective state authorities.

For 15% AIQ seats, NEET counseling is conducted in 2 rounds:

Round 1

• Registration for the main counseling for AIQ seats
• Choice filling - Candidates have to fill their choices for seats and then lock-in the choices before the last date of choice filling process
• Process of seat allotment will be done followed by the announcement of the first round result of seat allotment
• If a candidate has been allotted a seat in the first round, then he or she has to report to the allotted college after the first round of counseling.

Round 2

• New registration for the second round of counseling
• Choice filling and locking the choices
• Process of seat allotment followed by the announcement of the second round seat allotment result
• Reporting at the allotted college after the second round counseling

Lastly the seats which remain vacant after the counseling process are transferred to the state quota seats.

Hope this helps.!

• Good Luck.!!
