If you clear you backlogs then you can apply in CAT entrance. Also the past academics are considered in CAT so it can give you tough times to get selected in top IIM's.
You will have to aim at scoring above 92-95 percentile to get into GIM through CAT to be on safe side.
Also you will be required to clear GMAT. Score above 720 on an average to get admission in colleges abroad.
