hello I fill ugc net form ews category and upload expired ews documents..now i clear ews cutoff..is it possible NTA consider me EWS category aur reject my ews weitage on expired documents of ews certificate
Hello Student,
There is an important point here: for UGC-NET June 2026, NTA’s official FAQ says that an EWS certificate is not required to be uploaded with the online application form.
So, if you selected EWS but uploaded an expired certificate, it does not automatically mean that your UGC-NET result will be cancelled. However, your EWS status/benefit can be subject to verification under the applicable rules, and an expired certificate may not be accepted as proof of current EWS eligibility.
What you should do
- Obtain a fresh, valid EWS certificate for the relevant financial year.
- Keep it ready for any document/category verification.
- If NTA or the concerned authority asks for clarification, submit the valid certificate within the prescribed time.
- Do not assume that merely clearing the EWS cutoff guarantees EWS consideration if your eligibility documents are not valid.
Since this can directly affect your category benefit, I recommend checking the UGC-NET June 2026 Information Bulletin and any category-verification instructions before the final result/eligibility is processed. NTA has officially published the June 2026 bulletin.
Best Wishes for your UGC NET!
