Hello i just wanted to know that whether a foreign national candidate can get a govt Dental college seat after cracking neet mds???plz help
Hi Dr Chaurasia
Foreign Nationals are eligible to take NEET MDS by obtaining temporary registration for the postgraduate training from Dental Council of India. As per the eligibility for admission to government dental college, then the seats are divided between 50% All India Quota and 50% State Quota. For 50% All India Quota, the information brochure of NBE (exam conducting body for NEET MDS) states that the candidates who have completed BDS from a University/Institute in India and registered with State Dental Council are eligible to seek admission to these seats considering they complete the compulsory rotatory internship within the said time period. In case of 50% State Quota seats, it depends majorly on regulations of state and its eligibility criteria. For example- in Karnataka state foreign nationals can only apply for seats available under NRI Quota.
Hope I have answered your query!
