Hello, My son has score 525 in UR catagory from UP. Is there any chance of getting a Government seat of mbbs

Hello Sir,
According to previous years cut off analysis which is subjective (as cut off ranks change every year,depending upon level of difficulty of neet this year,no of candidates applying to neet this year to govt colleges through up state quota from general category also rank fallout pattern is entirely different from previous year so nothing can be predicted with 100% sureity), your son is almost on borderline of getting /not getting a mbbs seat at govt college up as cut off marks for most of the colleges were above 530-550 against a rank of under 11500 though in 2018 cut off for U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Etawah went around 24680 rank against 492 marks, so might have a chance here.(though in 2017 it was again 550 aginst 10875 rank so it will depend completely on this years merit list )there are almost equal of chances of getting/not getting a govt seat with these score.

Hi,Thanks for the information. This will definitely be of great help for us. Secondly will he be able to get a BDS seat ,if not MBBS.

Well sir as far as govt colleges are concerned last year a person having 14068 rank against 522 marks got Admission in kgmc lucknow faculty of dental sciences ,so might have/ might not have a chance depending on this year's merit however the scores are decent enough to get seat at private colleges
