Hello sir , I am shubham tripathi from up , my jee main 2026 crl rank is 124744 and ews category rank is 18994 , I can't go for second drop I am also continuing my preparation regarding jee mains 2027 January attempt and thinking about college and taking partial drop . my jee course is completed.

With a CRL rank of 1,24,744 and an EWS rank of 18,994 , admission to CSE in top NITs and IIITs is unlikely through regular JoSAA rounds.

Possible options include:

• Newer NITs such as National Institute of Technology Srinagar, National Institute of Technology Manipur, National Institute of Technology Mizoram, and National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh for branches like Civil, Metallurgical, Biotechnology, or similar lower-demand branches.
• GFTIs such as Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, and Assam University may offer better opportunities in core engineering branches.

For candidates from Uttar Pradesh, institutes such as Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology and Harcourt Butler Technical University are often attractive alternatives through their respective admission processes.
