hello sir i got 490 marks in neet 2019 can i get seat ..???
Hello Bhanusri!
Congratulations on your score. Now that you have appeared for all your exams, you must be waiting on your results. Once the results are announced, counselling procedures begin. Since you have not mentioned your reservation status/ state or any specific quota that you might be eligible for, we cannot make a direct comment about it.
However, going by previous year trends, there is an absolute surety of you qualifying NEET this year. Last year, the qualifying marks were 119 and in the year 2017 (the year that NEET 2019 is being compared to) the qualifying marks were 131. These are figures for UR individual and other category qualifications have been different. Coming to your question, you should apply for MBBS and BDS colleges in all India counselling and respective state counselling for you to increase your chances of getting a seat. If you belong to a state that has had generally low cut-offs like Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Andaman and Nicobar etc., you can surely acquire a seat. Even in some more competitive states, you have chances of landing a dental seat. You can surely apply for deemed universities and private medical colleges, like KMC Manipal which had a cut-off marks of 498 in the first round of counselling. However, in subsequent counselling rounds the cut offs go as low as 450 marks. Other private medical colleges have cut offs ven below, some as below as qualifying marks.
The choice of taking a course (MBBS, BDS, B.Vsc etc.) and the institution (Government, private or trust) depends mostly on your rank and the amount you wish to spend on furthering your education which has to be a well awared decision in compliance to your guardian(s).
All the best for your future.
