Hello student,
You have not mentioned which category you belong to. But, even if it is general, you have chances of procuring a seat in the government medical colleges when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, a score of minimum 379 was required to fetch one a seat in the Maldah medical college in general category under the state quota. But, scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection in your state

With the massive upsurge in air, will the cutoffs vary a lot this year?
Please help me with your category and corresponding rank so that I could come up with an exact answer!
I belong to the OBC-A category and my category rank is 18k.
Yes, you do have a chance. Last year, the closing ranks were around 24,000. But scores were less, like in the range of 480's.
Is sal west Bengal mein 4 naya medical college start ho ra ha being. To us hisabse lowest cut kitna ho Sakta hein for govt mbbs seat
Hello,
You have not mentioned your category anywhere ,so I assume it to be general.
If I consider the previous year data .Then you have good chances of getting admission in any of the government colleges in West bengal through state quota .
The cutoff changes almost every year,so not much can be predicted .cutoff depends on the difficulty level of the paper and the number of students who appeared for the entrance exam.
Just hope for the best

I belong to the OBC-A category, can I get a seat within Kolkata?
Afifa, if you are from obc category then it's like icing on the cake.your chances of getting a college in kolkata increases effectively.but since the cutoff changes every year,ao nothing can be predicted.
Best wishes and luck
