Hi, I have recently taken my +2 exam from non-med stream and I want to become IPS so from which line i will graduate e.g Btech ,BSC etc ?
Hey Aditya,
You want to become an IPS and that is pretty good. But becoming an IPS is a lot difficult as seats are very limited and competition very high. So, you should have a bachelor degree and alongwith that, you should keep preparing for the IPS exam. You should think like that: If I have some constraints and will not be able to become an IPS anytime, then what will I want to do in my life? The answer to this question will give you an idea about what you should choose for your Bachelors degree.
Prepare well and achieve whatever you want from your life!
Hi,
First of all, I am assuming that non med means PCM in class 12. You could prepare for IPS if you are a graduate in any discipline. There is no restriction for that. So if you wish you can do a B.Tech so that you have an alternate in hand just in case and then appear for the civil services.
You can do your graduation any of field to apply for IPS. IPS exam is part of the UPSC Civil Services Exam which is conducted every year. Candidates who take the exam will be allotted to IPS depending on their abilities, determination and the rank they score in the exam.
