Hi... I m of general category. Will i get admission on basis of common merit rank or category merit rank??

Hello kirti, hope you are doing well. The admission varies from college to college. Also the course you want to take admission in. During counseling you are called on the basis of your Common Merit Rank & as there are seats reserved for OBC, ST & SC, Category Rank matters too.

You will get admission on the basis of common merit rank. You will not even get a category merit rank as it is for the categories reserved under the constitution of India. Since you are of general category, all the admission process will be based on the common merit list only.
