on which basis will i be selected? category merit rank Or common merit rank?

Hey there
Counselling call is made on the basis of common merit rank but selection is based on category rank is you opt for that. Category rankings help reserved students like EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PWD students and other reserved students to get an edge over UR students for taking admissions at a lower rank. though the reservation policy varies for different exams.
