, Noor Basically what OD is in united states of America, as B optometry is in India. In the USA B optometry is known as OD.
OD stands for the ophthalmic doctor.
In the USA when you do 4 years of bachelor degree in Ophthalmology you become an OD(ophthalmic doctor)
In India, You are not eligible to go for OD after doing B.optom. you can opt for M Optom or PhD if you want to continue your study.
But in India, you are not eligible to go for OD after b Optom. You have to consider going abroad.
