Yes, you are eligible to apply for the Rural Reservation Quota. However, you should have spent your first ten years of academic study (from first to tenth grade) at schools located in or near rural areas of the state of Karnataka. If you live in a larger urban area, a smaller urban area, or a transitional area as defined by the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, or the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976, and you study for a period of 10 years from the first to the tenth year, you will not be eligible for reservation under the Rural Area category. In addition, you must provide a Rural Study Certificate from 1st to 10th grade for a period of ten whole years.
