see you are eligible to apply for private institute as well state government colleges for engineering admission. however since your 12th score in less than 60% you may not eligible for admission to some top ranked private institute. however you should participate in jee main or state engineering entrance test. based on jee main score or state engineering entrance score counselling conducts by state education committee. so you have chances to go for tier 2 colleges for admission.

now see I must tell you that at the time of college placement you may not eligible for some of the mncs like tcs, ibm, wipro since the academic marks criteria for all courses is 60%. however time to time the criteria for job recruitment changes, some of the start up companies has no marks criteria and students are selected based on their skill and performance in interview.

so while doing engineering if you learn new skills and good programming knowledge it would not be difficult for you to get a decent paying job.
