Hii...I scored 466 marks in neet 2018...general category...Can I get admission in Up government college....I do have my EWS certificate....

Dear Anusha, in 2018 under State Quita, 469 marks secured a seat in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Medical College under General Category. That was the cut off. With 466 marks, even with a EWS Certificate, unfortunately a seat in a Government Medical College is difficult. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. This year cut offs increased as high as 75-100 marks. So with 466, it might be tough.

The cutoff for the year 2018 in government medical colleges under state quota for general category was 469 marks( Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Medical Institute, Lucknow) and the cutoff for government dental college was 522 marks( Faculty of Dental Sciences, Lucknow) for general category. After the implementation of EWS, you can expect to get admission in government medical college in Uttar Pradesh but chances are not very high as it will depend on a number of factors like availability of seats, number of candidates and cutoff for respective categories.
