Being a Commerce Student you will be needing laptop for various softwares

Tally ERP
Efilling
MS Office
Photoshop(Not necessarily)
Stock Market Analysis softwares

Bcom Students don't use heavy applications like those required for a guy doing Mechanical Engineering or stuff.

I would not recommend you using a Macbook , you can simply use Windows and your work will be sorted
