Astrobiology is a relatively new field which offers study about life beyond Earth. For candidates to pursue courses in astrobiology, they need to pass 12th with minimum 55% marks in science stream. The admission can be merit based or entrance based. Students can pursue courses like:
- B.Sc. Astrobiology
- BTech. Adtrobiology
- Diploma in Astrobiology
- MSc. Astrobiology
Colleges that provide this course include: Indian Astrobiology Research Centre, Fergusson College, TATA Institute of Fundamental Research, Indian Institute of Science, etc. Average starting salary may be up to INR 4 Lacs to INR 9 Lacs per annum which is likely to increase with increasing experience.
