I have mentioned below steps you are required to follow to become a bank clerk .
Step 1: Completion of 10+2
Description: Candidates are required to complete 10+2 in any stream of subjects with an aggregate of 50 per cent of marks from a recognised board.
Step 2: Bachelor
Description: After successful completion of 10+2, candidates are required to enrol themselves in a bachelor's degree programme in any specialisations. Several colleges and universities conduct entrance examinations to provide admissions. While there are several other colleges which provide admissions on the basis of 10+2 passing percentage.
Step 3: Preparation for bank clerk examinations
Description: After successful completion of bachelor's degree programme, candidates are required to prepare for bank clerk examinations conducted by various cooperative and central banks. I have mentioned below major bank clerk examinations.
IBPS Clerk Examination
• SBI Clerk Examination
• RRB Clerk Examination
• Nainital Bank Clerk Examination
• Federal Bank Clerk Examination
• Karnataka Bank Clerk Examination
• KarurVyas Bank Clerk Examination
• South Indian Bank Examination
• Bank of Maharashtra Examination
Note: Candidates are required to clear both preliminary and mains clerical exams. There is no interview process involved in the selection of candidates for clerk's position.

Entrance exams are conducted by banks for Clerical post. IBPS Clerk entrance exam is also conducted for recruitment. Eligibility criteria to appear for the exams is you must have completed graduation or equivalent from any recognised University with minimum marks as required.
Generally the exam is conducted in 2 rounds- Preliminary and mains exam. Interview can also be conducted.
In the preliminary exam questions are asked from English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning ability sections. After clearing the preliminary exam student can go for the mains exams.
