IAS exam is being conducted by UPSC.
The basic eligibility to fill UPSC application form is that candidates should have a graduation degree from any UGC recognized University. To appear the UPSE-CSE exam the criteria is having Bachelors degree in any stream. So you can appear it once you finish your graduation. The first thing is you should know the syllabus of the examination before start preparing. This becomes very important during your preparation as you will be able to know which are from examination point of view. 60% questions are from current affairs and you should start reading the newspaper daily. For static portions begin with the NCERTs and gradually move to other books. The most important thing is to be an IAS officer is your attitude. Try to develop a positive attitude. Enter this field by your choice and not by anyone's force. Be confident, have patience and work hard no one can stop you to become an IAS.
